Healing Perspectives: Will of the Emperor

Will of the Emperor is a welcome relief from Elegon. It still requires some intense healing but the key to the fight is mostly in the tank dance and dealing with the adds.

This fight has two phases that alternate throughout – the add phase and the burn phase. While both of these cycle through, the tanks deal with the boss and doing the dance.  The add phase is when different kinds of adds spawn and must be systematically dealt with by the DPS while the burn phase is when the entire room fills with gas and the raid takes AoE damage.

The key to this fight is pacing out the healing and cooldowns as required by the different phases.

Healing Perspectives: Elegon

Elegon is an incredibly fun fight that requires good execution and precise timing from the entire raid. It’s often been said that the better a Discipline priest knows the fight, the stronger they are at healing – and if there was a fight that really illustrates that well, it would be Elegon. The more you plan your healing and find the healing rhythm of the fight, the stronger your heals will be here.

The fight starts out with Phase 1 transitioning through to Phase 3 and the cycle repeats once when Elegon hits 50% health. When the cycle goes through, Elegen enters his final do-or-die burn phase.

Healing Perspectives: Imperial Vizier Zor’lok

It seems as though no raid is complete without some bug squishing, and Heart of Fear is the place for that this expansion. We start off with the Imperial Vizier Zor’lok!

Imperial Vizier Zor’lok is a fun fight that can be thought of in two phases: Phase 1 is when Zor’lok darts about from platform to platform and does unique abilities specific to those platforms; Phase 2 hits when Zor’lok lands in the middle of the room, and combines all the abilities from the platform for the remainder of the fight.

Robes of Heavenly…

…ahems.

A long long time ago, back in the days of Zul’Aman and the Burning Crusade, there existed a robe that looked ever so sexy. These Robes of Heavenly Purpose were aptly nicknamed by a wowhead user to be “Robes of Heavenly Cleavage” – and that’s what today’s post is about!

Transmogrification gave us a new freedom to beat down the bad guys while looking fabulous. Sometimes that means wearing a daunting set that exemplifies the essence of your class – and other times it means you get to look straight up sexy. Goodbye subtlety, farewell modesty – this post showcases Azeroth’s sexiest robes that show it off and dazzle their enemies to death. 🙂

I Call Upon the Sha….

In an effort to catch up on some gear, I ran some LFR. I got ridiculously lucky and won a lovely healy weapon: Kri’tak, Imperial Scepter of the Swarm.

Turns out, this Sha-touched weapon has the added effect of turning my Mindbender into a manifestation of the Sha. It is beyond awesome! My own little minion of evil – it’s what I always wanted.

Healing Perspectives: Spirit Kings

Spirit Kings is an interesting fight which involves dealing with four types of foes – each with their own quirky title. The good news is that we get to deal with one after another. The bad news is that much like ghosts of christmas past, one of their abilities haunts us to the very end of the overall fight, even after they’ve each been defeated. (I’ve made special note next to the abilities that persist through death). This fight is ALL about raid awareness and personal responsibility – its about taking your time, doing the dance and not getting killed.
