Tier 12: Why Nerfs Missed the Mark

Warning: I am pretty damn annoyed, so this post might be ranty. Enter at your own risk.

When nerfs to Firelands were announced, I was one of the few who was welcoming them. Progress in Firelands was slow, but steady for us. And with only doing four hours of raiding per week, I thought we were doing fine for the most part. Many of the bosses required near-perfect execution and mistakes were very unforgiving. With a dozen kills and no loot (hello RNG), I was decently ticked off enough to say “hey bring on the nerfs!”

Today was my first raiding experience post-nerfs and you know what?  I take it back. I take it all back. Give me back my un-nerfed world.

Stories from a Shattered World: Badlands

With the final confrontation with Deathwing on the horizon, I thought I should get the story of Badlands out right away. Far from being a land forgotten and rarely visited, Badlands has some key elements in the progression of our storyline in the aftermath of Deathwing’s return. The time to grieve is over, and we’ll be looking to the future, answering questions such as what is the future of the obsidian dragonflight? It’s one of the best questlines to do in Azeroth and its importance is only highlighted by the continuation of its story in the legendary questline for the rogue dagger, come 4.3. I highly recommend reading the quests in this zone and turning on the music for full effect.

Druid Class Feedback: My Two Cents

Recently, Blizzard took a keen interest in class feedback on the forums. They stated that much of this feedback is intended not only for 4.3 but also for the long run. While I don’t anticipate I’ll become a tree again, come next patch, I think its fantastic they’re taking such an interest in what we as players think about our class this expansion. It’s also a great opportunity for me to take a good look at what I love/ dislike about healing as a druid in Cataclysm.

Patch 4.3: Druid Tier 13

So here I was all excited about transmogrification and this morning, I woke up to see the awesomeness that will be Tier 13. First things first – we have a ROBE. Thank Elune! Looking at this tier, I have to say that I’m truly excited for it. There’s an incredible amount of detail and thought that’s gone into its design, and I applaud the artists for their fantastic work. There’s some great interplay going on between the electric blue and the more natural green, rounded with the really unique, vine-like shoulders. I couldn’t help but notice that we’d be back in WWE land as far as the belt goes but hey, I think it all comes together so well that I don’t really mind this. Perhaps my transmogrification will have to wait a tiny bit afterall!
